Clayton 14, Wildwood 0

Penns Grove 37, Salem 20

Preview:

Clearview at Highland - Clearview should be too strong for the Tartans.

Deptford at Delsea - Delsea needs to re-group; Deptford can't be down after their loss either - This may be one of the best games in the Royal this week.

Williamstown at Kingsway - Williamstown should have no problem

Cumberland at Gloucester Catholic - the winner will be a contender - another good game in the Royal

Overbrook - bye

Glassboro at Pennsville - the premier game of the week in the Classic

Schalick at Pitman - Schalick pours it on again.

Gloucester at Woodstown - Can Woodstown come out with the intensity they need and maintain it? Can they play like a team as Gloucester does?

Wildwood at Clayton - Clayton should break through for a win, but Wildwood needs this one badly too.

Salem at Penns Grove - The Grove should have no problems, but Salem needs to wake-up. They can’t let themselves get blown out again!

My stupid picks:

Clearview At Highland - Clearview by 28

Deptford at Delsea – Deptford by 10

Williamstown at Kingsway - Williamstown by 33

Cumberland at Gloucester Catholic – GC by 8

Glassboro at Pennsville – BORO by 25

Schalick at Pitman - Schalick by 42

Wildwood at Clayton - Clayton by 20

Salem at Penns Grove - The Grove by 28

Week #3

Cumberland 17, Delsea 14 – Cumberland is looking good. Delsea missed a Fg to tie at the end of the game.

Williamstown 33, Highland 0 – Williamstown wanted to show everyone that they are the team to beat and they did it with a strong running game and a tenaciuos defense. Highland has a QB with a very nice arm - look for photos on my South Jersey Football Blog: http://boro70.blogspot.com/

Gloucester Catholic 21, Overbrook 0 – When will Overbrook finally break through and score?

Clearview 20, Deptford 12 – The View made a sttement after a close win last week.

Hunterdon Central 43, Kingsway 8 – tough game for K’way as they go down to one of the state's top teams.

Pennsville 48, Pitman 0 – Pennsville has yet to be scored upon, but that will change this weekend.

Schalick 66, Clayton 8 – Clayton got their score against Schalick's first team which was surpirising .

Glassboro 52, Salem 6 – 8 different palyers scored one TD each for Glassboro and Salem's score was on a KO return. - look for photos on my South Jersey Football Blog: http://boro70.blogspot.com/

Gloucester 22, Penns Grove 21 – best game in the Classic this week.

Woodstown 21, Lower Cape May 6 – LCM won this last year, but things have changed as they are down and Woodstown is improved.

Dunellen 52, Wildwood o – Dunellen is 3-0 for their best start.

My stupid picks:

Cumberland at Delsea – Delsea by 21 - totally messed this one up as did everyone else

Highland at Williamstown – Williamstown by 8 - Highland just doesn't have the size up front to match-up with Willimaston and it showed

Gloucester Catholic at Overbrook – GC by 35 - GC failed to score the way Delsea and Deptford did.

Clearview at Deptford – Deptford by 1 - This was a tough pick which was why I just gave the home team a one point margin. One score made the difference in this game.

Kingsway at Hunterdon Central – HC by 21 - After seeing Highland demolished by Williamstown, I knew that I had this too low.

Pitman at Pennsville – Pennsville by 30 - Pennsville had an easy time and is the first to shutout Pitman this year.

Clayton at Schalick – Schalick by 56 - My second closest pick here as I was only off by 2 points

Glassboro at Salem – BORO by 36 - Salem has a lot of work to do.

Penns Grove at Gloucester – Gloucester by 1 - I hit this one exactly on the nose!

Lower Cape May at Woodstown – Woodies by 21 -Well they scored 21 but only won by 14.

Wildwood at Dunellen – Dunellen by 49 - I only missed this one by 3.

Week #2

Clearview 20, Cumberland 19: (2006 – Clearview by 12; 2005 – Clearview by 35)

Glassboro 61, Clayton 8: (2006 – BORO by 41; 2005 – BORO by 53) - look for photos on my South Jersey Football Blog: http://boro70.blogspot.com

Glassboro sprinted out to a big early lead. TD on opening KO return, followed by a fumble recovery leading to a TD reception. 3 rushing TDs in the 1st quarter made the score 33-0 after the 1st. he starters ran it up to 45 -0 bfore handing over to the 2nd team for the last series of the first half. The back-ups took one play to 74 yds to make the score 53-0 at the half. After a safety caused by a bad snap on a punt, thebackups, including some 9th graders put together a time consuming drive for a final BORO TD. Clayton put together a drive (with some penalty help) to get on the scoreboard with less than a minute to go. Glassboro has trouble with extra points so look for a lot of going for "2" in the future.
.
Highland 18, Kingsway 13: (2006 – Kingsway by 8; 2005 – Kingsway by 28)

Highland's QB, Tedd Tischner, passed 11-17 for 125 yds. Anthony Brown had 5 receptions for 125 yds. Kingsway's RB, Bryon King ran for 76 yds and had a 49 yd interception return. Kingsway scored first, but Highland came back to tie he game 6-6 just before the end of the half. Highland score on their second drive of the 3rd to take the lead and then scored late in the 3rd for a 18-6 lead. After cutting the lead to 18-13, Kingsway drove to the 35 but an incomplete pass on 4th down wth 1 second left ended the game.

Woodstown 41, Pitman 19: (2006 – Woodstown by8; 2005 - Woodstown by 22)

Schalick 10, Gloucester 7: (2006 – Schalick by 26; 2005 – Gloucester by 1 - OT)

After a 2nd quarter turnover on the Schalick 35, Gloucester drove in for an eventual 2 yd. run for a TD and led 7-0 through the 3rd. Late in the 2nd, Schalick though that they had a TD recption but it was ruled ot of bounds. Scahlick finally drove for a TD in the 4th and followed it with a FG. Gloucester's last drive ended with an interception in the end zone.

Jackson Liberty 29, Wildwood 6: (1st year for Jackson Liberty and 1st year back on varsity level for Wildwood)

Gloucester Catholic 22, Delsea 11: (2006 – Delsea by 18; 2005 – Delsea by 7) - look for photos on my South Jersey Football Blog: http://boro70.blogspot.com

Delsea scored a 50 yd FG to lead at the half 3-0. GC came back to score a safety and a TD to lead 8-3. Next Delsea scored a TD and 2 extra points to lead 11-8. GC scored 2 more TDs and won the game 22-0.

Deptford 33, Overbrook 0: (2006 – Deptford by 37; 2005 – Deptford by 28)

Pennsville 28, Salem 0: (2006 – Pennsville by 6; 2005 – Pennsville by 1)

2007: Week #1

Delsea 35, Overbrook 0

Gloucester 42, Pitman 13
Gloucester jumped out to a 21-0 lead before Pitman scored on a KO return. After another score, gloucester lead 29-7 at the half. They extended it to 42-7 in the 3rd and Pitman scored in the 4th for the final score.

Penns Grove 14, Woodstown 7

Woodstown scored early to take a 7-0 lead and then defense took over as the half ended 7-0. Hayward scored in the 3rd, but a failed kick kept the Woddies ahead 7-6 and many people thought that that would be how it would end, but PG came down the field in the 4th and a short TD run by Ransome gave them the game. - look for photos on my South Jersey Football Blog: http://boro70.blogspot.com

Wallington 43, Wildwood 0
