The LION's View 10/30/06

Gloucester suffered another dissappointing loss. Again, Gloucester doesn't play 48 minutes to win the game. After gaining a 12 pt lead, the Lions were outscored 20-0 in the finaly 6 mins of the game. It was definately a surprise to the crowd in Gloucester especially the win Gloucester played the first 42 minutes. I saw a glimpse of that Gloucester pride we all know of, and there's no doubt this team has it. They just need to combine it with their mental toughness and get back on track. Next week is a gimme vs. Clayton, so the Lions will need to bounce back against their consolation opponent, who might be Colonial foes Gateway or Audubon. Hopefully the njsiaa will give us a home game since we've never been in this situation before, but Clayton is our next opponent so the JV should get lots of playing time. For you seniors, keep your heads up, you have 3 more, so leave it all out on the field. That name on the front of the jersey means a hell of a lot more than the name on the back.

The Cougar's View 10/22/06

Schalick once again dominated their opponent this week making the game look rather easy in the end. However Pennsville played a very good first quarter and played with alot of spirit and heart. I thought Pennsville's coaches called a bad game as they had a play that was getting 10-12 yards a shot and then they just stopped calling it. SCoring went 7-0 Schalick after 1st quarter. 27-0 at the half. 34-0 after 3. 41-0 when the varsity was taken out of the game. I thought that Schalick should have pulled the varsity at the end of the 3rd quarter. Next week Salem is in a bit of trouble. Schalick seems to be in playoff mode already. I think that Schalick is gonna steamroll Salem by a big score. Schalick is running the ball well and their passing game is the best I have seen in person all year. Defensively they are also the best I have personally seen all year. I also usually go to 2-3 games a week
